WALDTEUFEL Émile (b.Strasbourg, 9 December 1837; d.Paris, 12 February 1915)

In the New Year we shall be mounting a display of dances by the late 19th century French dance composer Waldteufel, the centenary of whose death falls on 12 February.  This preliminary selection shows early editions of two Christmas-related works, plus his ever-popular 'Skaters Waltz'.
