"MAELZEL" on the wooden pendulum, "M" on the brass slider, probably made in
France c.1815. Body height 19.5cm. Overall height 28.0cm. This may be the first
metronome made by Maelzel after he met Winkel as it has the scale stamped only on
the pendulum, not on the body. The mechanism differs from the 1815 patented
Maelzel metronome.
